Dale Kingman concentrates his practice in the area of complex
insurance coverage disputes involving first and third party claims,
intellectual property, fidelity and commercial crime insurance,
professional liability, errors and omissions and directors & officers
insurance, environmental, construction, and commercial litigation. Dale
has represented both insurers and policyholders throughout the
United States, with a recent emphasis on insurance issues involving
the Hospitality Industry. Of late, Dale has represented numerous
hotel companies with properties in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi
and Louisiana with property damage and business interruption coverage
problems stemming from the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes, and has assisted
his many clients in producing over $150 million in property insurance
recoveries.
Dale has written and lectured on insurance coverage
issues, authoring numerous monographs and articles, including “First
Party Property Policies & Pollution Coverage” 28 Gonzaga
Law Review 449 (1993). For the last few years, Dale has been
a regular speaker on insurance issues at the Hospitality Law Conference
sponsored by the University Of Houston School Of Law. Dale
has extensive litigation and appellate experience in various state
and federal courts throughout the Western United States. In
addition, he devotes considerable time serving as a mediator and
arbitrator in complex litigation, including such matters as construction
defect, commercial and contract claims, environmental and hazardous
waste, and insurance coverage disputes. Dale has mediated
over 600 matters. Dale is a member of the American Arbitration
Association as a Commercial Arbitrator.
