GMT Amicus Effort on Behalf of Weyerhaeuser, Boeing, Costco, Avista
Utilities, Puget Sound Energy, and RIMS Washington Chapter Successful
On April 23, 2000, the Supreme Court of Washington ruled in
favor of the policyholder in the case of Schwindt v. Commonwealth
Ins. Co. The case involved a critical issue of interpretation regarding
the statute of limitations for a lawsuit by a policyholder against
an insurance company. GMT had filed an amicus brief on behalf of its
clients Weyerhaeuser, Boeing, Costco, Avista Utilities, Puget Sound
Energy, and RIMS Washington Chapter. |
