Washington Supreme Court Rules in Weyerhaeuser
The Washington Supreme Court ruled in favor of Weyerhaeuser
on several key insurance coverage issues on December 21, 2000. Among
other things, the Court issued a broad ruling on the "all sums"
language in general liability policies, in favor of the policyholder
on the "no credit or offsets" settlement issue and in favor
of Weyerhaeuser on prejudgment interest and attorneys’ fees.
Chuck Gordon and Jeff Tilden have represented Weyerhaeuser through
two trials and appeal of this litigation.
