GMT Secures Consent Injunction in Copyright Case
GMT filed a copyright infringement action on behalf of a Seattle
professional artist/photographer in federal court in South Carolina.
The complaint sought a temporary restraining order and preliminary
injunction against an art gallery and dealer relating to the sale
of copied Native American works. Immediately prior to the temporary
restraining order hearing, defendants agreed to a stipulated injunction,
which included the ultimate destruction of the offending pieces.
