Quest
Diagnostics Wins Summary Judgment Motion
June 3, 2002. Quest Diagnostics Inc. prevailed
today on a summary judgment motion dismissing it from a malpractice
lawsuit. The case involved a negligence claim against Quest related
to the drug testing of the plaintiff's urine sample by the Seattle
SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories lab (later acquired by Quest).
The plaintiff also sued another laboratory that had performed initial
testing, and the hospital involved, claiming that the defendants'
conduct resulted in his employment termination. Quest was represented
by GMT partner Jeff Thomas. |
