MultiCare Settles Coverage Lawsuit
February 19, 2004. GMT has been representing MultiCare Health
System in an insurance coverage lawsuit in federal district court
in Tacoma. MultiCare alleged that under Washington's allocation law,
its primary carrier, St. Paul, should have defended it in a "peer
review process" associated with a physician who had sued MultiCare
in underlying matters. MultiCare and St. Paul have settled the lawsuit;
all terms are confidential. Trial was set for June 28, 2004. Jim Murray
and Johanna Bender were involved in the representation.
