The King County Bar Association named Susannah Carr its 2008 Volunteer of the Year for the Newcomers Resource Project.  The Newcomers Resource Project was established to provide pro bono legal services to low-income immigrant, refugee and newcomer residents of King County.  Susannah earned this honor pursuing a claim for wages owed to immigrant workers in the Seattle area.
