GTTC Awards Inaugural Law-School Leg Up Grant
GTTC is proud to announce it has awarded its first Law-School Leg Up Grant to a very deserving University of Washington undergraduate student.
GTTC will provide the grantee with a free LSAT prep course from Princeton Review and a stipend to offset the cost of taking the LSAT and applying to law schools. The recipient also will be paired with two GTTC attorneys to serve as mentors to help with the application process and to offer a connection to the Seattle legal community while the student attends law school and beyond.
GTTC’s Allyship, Inclusion, and Diversity Committee created this grant to address the barrier law school application expenses pose to greater diversity in the legal field. Diverse college juniors, seniors, or graduates with demonstrable financial need and plans to attend law school are eligible to apply for the grant. GTTC begins accepting applications after the first of the year, and the application cutoff date is March 31. The recipient of the grant is announced at the beginning of May.
